Can you buy a Roblox game? Structure the deal around what can actually transfer

Separate the seller-owned code, art and brand from Roblox platform control, then structure completion around what Roblox will actually permit.

A Roblox experience can have valuable code, art, community goodwill, operating know-how, analytics and future cash-flow potential. But Roblox states that it has no official system for buying or selling experiences and warns against exchanging Robux, items or account credentials. A buyer should not confuse an off-platform contract with guaranteed platform recognition.

Start with the seller's legal assets: source files, original art and audio, brand rights, domains, documentation, contractor assignments and the shares or assets of any operating company. Then map platform control separately—experience and community ownership, team permissions, payout eligibility and the practical steps Roblox will permit. Never plan completion around password sharing.

The acquisition agreement should define the asset perimeter, excluded platform property, third-party licences, cooperation obligations, failure conditions and what happens if Roblox will not recognise the intended control change. Obtain platform-specific and legal advice before committing funds.
